Julia was born and raised in Colorado before heading to Chicago for University. She describes herself as an image maker and a storyteller who loves learning new skills and hearing silenced voices. Her passion areas include mental health awareness, healthcare issues, disability studies, biology, psychology,  environmental activism, social welfare, LGBTQ+ representation, women's rights, and the power of fiction. Her work  explores the relationship between image and language.
